Emerald Park

Your Neighborhood Oasis

Emerald Park is a community park and orchard that is open to neighbors and the public from sun up to sundown (as long as it's not muddy or under reconstruction). It is a drug-free space for community members and their children to use and enjoy.

History
This park was created in 1996 by the Pennsylvania Horticulture Society to replace burned and condemned homes, creating a glimmer of beauty for East Kensington residents.

Today, the park is thriving thanks to the efforts of it's neighbors and the Friends of Emerald Park in cooperation with the East Kensington Neighborhood Association, and the Emerald Street Urban Farm.
